Value Grade: B
At $30-40 retail, this wine definitely delivers on value for Pinot Noir, but not as great a value when considering other varietals.
Food Friendliness Grade: B
Has a rich and sweet cola note on the mid-palate that is lovely with or without food. If serving with food, keep it light, such as seared ahi tuna or chicken with mushrooms.
Ability to Age Grade: B
Drink now or let it age for a few years. Would put down for 3 years and see the change in the wine.
Flavor Profile Grade: A
This wine is definitely California Pinot Noir and is definitely from the Santa Lucia Highlands. I loved the weight of the wine and how it was extracted with beautiful berry notes on the nose and a lovely vanilla finish.
