Not cheap, but at $27 to $35 retail, it's much less than comparable quality of most other top Russian River chards.
Food Friendliness Grade: A
Try with rich seafood dishes or just enjoy every drop like I did - without food while watching the Red Sox game on TV.
Ability to Age Grade: A
I dare you to try a bottle of this and then put some away for aging. Just too delicious, but... its balance and quantity of fruit make it a good bet to improve for at least 2 more years if you have the willpower.
Flavor Profile Grade: A
A floral nose with succulent green apple, juicy pineapple, tangerine, ripe melon and hazelnut and more minerality than you would expect from a California chardonnay. The new French oak adds a delicious dimension without dominating.
